The Evec charger is our most affordable electric vehicle charging solution. Despite its low cost it’s a compact, modern unit that doesn’t compromise on quality. Available as universal socket or type 2 tethered charger, it is compatible with all electric and plug in hybrid vehicles. The charger has all of the tech that you would expect to find within a modern EV charger for an affordable price. It is very small and compact yet very robust, offering IP55 ingress protection whilst being both corrosion and fire resistant. Evec aims to produce affordable chargers and have achieved that with this low cost but fully capable option.

This Evec charger doesn't feature surge protection. New regulations in the industry require us to offer all customers surge protective devices (SPD) as part of a new EV charge point installation. It is recommended that customers include surge protection as part of their installation, which is usually an inexpensive addition.

While the installation process for the Evec wall charger is typically hassle-free, certain technical challenges may arise, such as the necessity for a dedicated electrical circuit, proper cable sizing, and compliance with local electrical regulations.
